Board CVs

Peter Ohnemus, chairman, served as president and chief executive officer of Fantastic from its incorporation in November 1996 until February 2000. From 1994 until joining Fantastic, Ohnemus served as senior vice president Europe for Logic Works. From 1988 to 1994, he was director of Central Europe for Sybase Inc., a database company, where he successfully built up the company as a distributor in Switzerland and Denmark before selling the Swiss operation back to Sybase Inc. Prior to that, he sold and financed IBM mainframes from the COS-Group in Baden, a company listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. Ohnemus serves on several boards including The e-Firm, TDC Switzerland AG, SQL AG, Rothschild Bank, ESBATech AG and Seclutions AG. Ohnemus won the Swiss accolade of "Entrepreneur of the Year 1999" by ATAG Ernst & Young. Ohnemus was educated at IMD in Lausanne, Kappa in New York, and Copenhagen Trade School.

Dr. Matthias Oertle has been board member of Fantastic since its incorporation in November 1996. He is the managing partner at Lenz & Staehelin, a leading Swiss law firm. His primary areas of specialization include banking and capital market law, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, commercial law and tax law.  He has written various articles in the areas of corporation law, competition law and corporate finance.  Prior to joining Lenz & Staehelin, Oertle was a foreign associate at the law firm of Mayer Brown & Platt in Chicago. Oertle studied at the University of Zurich and completed a doctorate thesis on joint ventures under Swiss law.  

Alain Derek Bandle, chief executive officer of The Fantastic Corporation, joined the company in April 2002. He is board member since April 2003. Bandle brings to Fantastic extensive experience in sales, marketing and general management.

From July 2000 until the end of 2001, Bandle was the CEO of YOU Swiss Private Banking, the e-banking project of the Vontobel Group in Zürich. From 1998 - 2000, at the German conglomerate Veba, he was a member of the executive management board (Vorstand) in charge of their telecommunications activities. Mr. Bandle chaired the supervisory boards of the Düsseldorf-based telecommunications businesses Veba Telecom, E-Plus Mobilfunk, and Otelo Communications GmbH and he was a non-executive member of the supervisory board of Bougyes Telecom in Paris. Mr. Bandle was instrumental in building, restructuring and successfully divesting a number of divisions before Veba merged with Viag to become Eon. Beginning of 1996, he returned to Hewlett-Packard to become General Manager Computer Systems at Hewlett-Packard in Germany. He was responsible for sales, marketing and consulting services, a business segment with over 1,000 employees and a revenue goal of more than 1 billion euros. From 1993 - 1995, he was vice president for product development and distribution and a member of the executive management board at Swissair in Zürich.

Bandle started building his career at Procter & Gamble in Geneva in 1979 and later in Frankfurt. He then moved on to management positions with increasing responsibilities in marketing and sales at Hewlett-Packard in Geneva and Zürich, staying with the company until his time at Swissair. Bandle currently serves on the supervisory board and the strategic committee of the Austrian Airlines group and on the supervisory board of Yellowworld, a company of the Swiss Post. He holds a masters degree in business from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
